Global House Recognized for Supporting Thailand's Poverty Alleviation and Sustainable Community Development

On Saturday, 18 July 2026, Siam Global House Public Company Limited participated in the announcement of a five-pillar poverty alleviation action plan and a site visit to community poverty alleviation projects at Roi Et Rajabhat University in Roi Et Province, reaffirming its commitment to supporting cross-sector collaboration among government agencies, academic institutions, the private sector, and local communities to enhance quality of life and drive sustainable community development.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, who announced a five-pillar policy to advance poverty alleviation and improve social well-being through science, research, and innovation. The initiative aims to expand economic opportunities, reduce inequality, and foster resilient, sustainable communities.

During the event, Mr. Chatchawan Benjasiriwong, Governor of Roi Et Province, delivered the welcome remarks. Dr. Kitti Satjawattana, Director of the Program Management Unit for Area-Based Development (PMU A), presented the progress of poverty alleviation projects across 20 provinces, while Assistant Professor Dr. Wichit Kammantakhun, President of Roi Et Rajabhat University, highlighted the university's role in applying knowledge, technology, and innovation to foster local development and improve the quality of life for communities.

On this occasion, Siam Global House Public Company Limited, represented by Mr. Khemchat Sangkakam, Vice President of Innovation & System Development, received a Recognition Plaque as a Network Partner for Poverty Alleviation in recognition of the company's contribution to supporting poverty alleviation initiatives and fostering collaboration with government agencies, academic institutions, and local partners to drive sustainable community development.

Following the policy announcement, executives toured an exhibition showcasing research and innovation aimed at poverty alleviation, where they met with researchers, students, and community representatives to learn about their initiatives. The delegation then visited Hug Market 101 in Ko Kaeo Subdistrict, Selaphum District, Roi Et Province, a model project demonstrating how the integration of knowledge, technology, and innovation can strengthen community enterprises, expand local economic opportunities, and generate sustainable livelihoods.
